April in Cricket Square

Easter

In observance of this important holiday, The Brasserie and The Brasserie Market will be closed Friday, April 18th – Monday, April 21st. But not to fret, we’ll be preempting our closure with Christine’s wonderful cookies, candies and cakes available in The Market during the days leading up to Good Friday.  Grab some treats for friends, Easter baskets, or even as prizes for your family’s Easter Egg Hunt.  Be sure to save some sweets for yourself though. What better way to indulge following your Lenten commitments than with a delightfully frosted, fluffy, homemade cupcake?

The Wicket is open for Happy Hour

Beginning this Friday, April 4th, the Wicket will be open from 5-9pm, offering happy hour specials on Brasserie craft beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Our bar menu will also be available to guests and we will be showing sporting games of interest on our flat screens. Inaugurate your weekend with us at the Wicket this Friday!

Bidding Farewell

This month we are losing a vital member of our community. Shaun McCann, senior partner at Campbells, is retiring. He has been a constant friend to Cricket Square since Campbells moved in. As both a colleague as well as a neighbor, he will be sorely missed. Be sure to take these last opportunities to bid him a fond farewell.

Slow Food Day

Saturday, April 12th is Slow Food Day. With the help of Farmer Patrick Panton and our friends at Bon Vivant, we will be marking the occasion with tastings outside Bon Vivant’s retail space at Camana Bay. Be sure to swing by and help us support the culinary revolution that is Slow Food.

Rare Pinot Noirs Now Available

Brasserie Purveyors is proud to be stocking an assortment of fine wines sourced directly from River’s Edge vineyards of Oregon. Located in the northern most part of the Umpqua Valley, this estate winery produces exceptional Pinot Noirs.  A very particular climate along with traditional winemaking methods make for some of the highest quality pinot noirs available in the states today. Visit the restaurant to sample a glass, and, if you love it as much as we do, enquire about purchasing a bottle.

Find Your Happy Place

Our next-door neighbors at ENERGY Essential Fitness are running a fabulous promotion through Instagram.  All you need to do to be in the running for a whopping $500 class pass is follow ENERGY on Instagram @energyfit345 and #happyplace. It doesn’t take much to find your happy place this Spring in Cricket Square.

The Brasserie is “Popping Up”

The Brasserie’s very own Chef Dean Max, with the help of Bon Vivant, will be opening a one-of-a-kind pop up restaurant at The National Gallery on April 26th in order to raise funds for this landmark institution. Prepare for a night of sophisticated fun with farm-fresh food, lawn seating under the stars and live music. It’s a rare opportunity to sample The Brasserie’s culinary delights “out of the office,” in the National Gallery’s own backyard.

Cinco de Mayo Beer Garden

Save the date. May 2nd marks the exciting return of The Cinco de Mayo Craft Beer Garden to The Wicket. Sample some of the most interesting ales, lagers and special blends on the island, brought to you courtesy of Brasserie Purveyors.  There will also be tantalizing Mexican specialties such as our beloved homemade tortillas, cool salsa, and of course, fresh seafood. As always, it will be an event not to be missed.
