Peppermint

Look what our head gardener, Aide, is harvesting in The Brasserie’s organic garden?

A highly versatile and medicinal herbĀ long used to flavour sweets, toothpaste and mouthwashes among other things, peppermint is also used as a treatment for headaches, indigestion andĀ irritable bowel syndrome

Peppermint also offers benefits to the respiratory system, including for coughs, colds, asthma, allergies and tuberculosis.

Inhaling the vibrant peppermint aroma may offer memory enhancement and stress relief.

Peppermint essential oil can even be used topically for pain relief, hair and skin care and fresh breath.

To aid digestion, enjoy mint in cooking or as a tea.

Look out for this delicious herb on the menu at The Brasserie and in our refreshing smoothies and juices at Juiced @ The Wicket.
