April in Cricket Square

We hope you all had a very happy Easter as we celebrate Spring, Earth Day and a bountiful harvest in Cricket Square.

Celebrate Earth Day at The Brasserie

THE BRASSERIE — Bring your reusable travel mug to the Market on Friday 20 April and receive FREE drip coffee all day to celebrate Earth Day 2018. While you’re there, grab a bag of coffee grounds from our wheelbarrow to add to your garden soil. The coffee will release nitrogen, potassium and phosphorous to support plant growth.

SWIRL: 5-7pm, Thursday 26 April

THE BRASSERIE — The Malbec grape variety is making a comeback and it’s coming from Mendoza, Argentina’s main wine-producing province. Argentina is also the only country in the world that produces the grape, Torrontés. The country’s 500-year-old wine industry has struggled for international recognition, until now. Join our April wine tasting to find out why. Enjoy four wines paired with delicious canapés. Tickets are CI$30. Email or call 945 1815.

Slow Food Day 2018, Saturday 14 April

CAMANA BAY — Join The Brasserie team at the Farm-to-Table Tasting Market at Camana Bay from 10am until midday  to celebrate Cayman’s home-grown food scene. Watch Chef Artemio transform ingredients straight from The Brasserie’s organic garden into deliciously fresh dishes and then enjoy a taste test. Our head gardener Aide will share tips and tricks to producing food and The Brasserie’s beekeeper Efrain will talk about our honey and hives. Shop for seasonal fruits and vegetables.

The Brasserie receives Best Food award

THE BRASSERIE — Congratulations to Chef Artemio Lopez, our Restaurant General Manager Corey Blohm and The Brasserie team for winning the ‘Best Food’ award at Taste of Cayman 2018. Thank you to Cayman Islands Tourism Association board member Julie Allan, who presented this award to our team for their delicious Smoked Beef Briskets with Garden Green Papaya Slaw.
